I was recently asked to provide a Chartered Surveyor in Somerset with a quote for his Professional Indemnity cover.
I was able to make him a 30% saving on last year’s price for the same limit, but with a lower excess on any claim.
I could also provide him with double his current limit for £5 less than last year!
This is cover with an A-rated insurer who have put together a wording specifically for those who are members of RICS.
He mentioned that I wasn’t as aggressive as another Professional Risks broker he’d encountered. I am, of course, far more qualified than any of them as well.
So get in touch if you want to save money, increase your cover and work with a nice bloke who knows his stuff.

It was Monday 4th January 2016. The first working day back in the New Year.8.30am. I received the text in the picture from my client. What a great start to the day?! I phoned Kevin and chatted through what to do next. To his credit, he’d already started ‘acting as if uninsured’ a keyContinue Reading
I had a call this morning from a client in Carmarthenshire. He runs an Inn over there in the small village of Bethlehem. The reason for his call was that he was worried about the risks associated with a deal he’d just struck. All of his rooms are fully booked over the Christmas break butContinue Reading
I took a call at the end of last week from a chap in Yetminster, just outside Sherborne. He needed cover for his mother-in-law’s old house which is on the market but is unoccupied. This wasn’t a problem for me as I have access to a number of providers for this sort of thing andContinue Reading
I found Mrs T looking at Rightmove yesterday morning. This wasn’t surprising – she does that all the time! What piqued my interest this time though was a statement contained within the Agent’s particulars of a house that had caught Liz’s eye – ‘We understand from the vendor that this property has been underpinned.’ EnoughContinue Reading
I’m sat typing this at my Mother-in-Law’s dining room table in Redditch. This is the wonder of business today – it’s Half Term, Mrs T had some time off, so I’ve packed the Laptop, my folder and a few bits and we’ve headed up the M5 to Redditch. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon so inContinue Reading
I had an unexpected enquiry the other day. The phone number wasn’t a local one and it turned out the chap was from the North Pole. He was a jolly chap though so I carried on chatting to find out how I could help. He’s got a couple of businesses and wanted someone to reviewContinue Reading
In a previous post I wrote about the importance of the Treatment extension on a Hairdresser or Beauty Therapist policy. I was reminded of this when I arranged some cover for another salon recently. Not because the Treatment Risk wasn’t on offer from the various insurers. No, I was reminded of its importance when IContinue Reading
